From the Garden

Our chefs daily changing menu is inspired by the natural surroundings of Long Island and the Whitsundays, using the freshest seasonal produce sourced from the Island’s own vegetable garden and from nearby surrounding farming regions. Nearby Bowen is arguably the food bowl of Australia. Fresh prawns, Moreton Bay bugs and tropical rock lobsters are just some of local delicacies sourced from local fisherman or suppliers.

Fresh & Organic

As much as possible, ingredients are fresh, local, seasonal, sustainable, free range and organic to ensure your dining experience is wholesome, nourishing and comforting.

 

Kitchen open daily
7AM - 9PM

The kitchen will be open from 7am daily till 9pm and guests are able to let the host know when they would like to enjoy breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner.


 
 

On arrival guests will meet with our Chef to discuss their taste preferences and dietary requirements.

Each meal is an event within itself, with gourmet breakfasts, al fresco or picnic lunches and memorable 3 course wine matched dinners.

BREAKFAST

Elysian Retreat's Breakfast is an a la carte menu starting at 7am, guests can make their way at leisure and choose from the menu. Paired with fresh juice or coffee, breakfast is laid-back and a taste of what real island life is all about, with fresh seasonal produce from the garden to your plate.

LUNCH

A delicious al fresco lunch is prepared for guests who choose to spend their day relaxing at Elysian. Alternatively, you can request a picnic hamper to take as you venture out to one of the nearby island beaches or on a day trip out.

SUNSET COCKTAIL & CANAPES

Enjoy a beautiful sunset over Conway National Park with complimentary cocktails and canapes from 5:30pm on the deck next to the resort pool or around the firepit.

DINNER

Served from 7pm onwards. The 3 course dinner is hosted in the main pavilion dining room overlooking the ocean and Conway National Park. The dining experience is described as refined, in a relaxed atmosphere and comprises 3 courses, complete with complimentary matched Australian or New Zealand Wines. If you are lucky enough to catch something while out fishing our Chef will be happy to prepare the catch for your dinner that night.
